Beehive Apartment

   SUBJECT:
On (October 13, 2004) Ashi says...

Hi, :-)

Okay, Beehive Apartment is finally up. The reason for such a long interval is because this place is EXTREMELY difficult to decorate. How many times have you seen a house built on hexagons? Not much right? (if at all) Now I think I know why. Not very good for utilitarian purpose and even less useful as an apartment building....

Anyways, it's up. It's not my best creation, but I shall love it just the same (not saying it's ugly... *gasp*). Just pay attention to the lines, you should see some beauty in it. Enjoy it!

DOWNLOAD IT on The Sims 2 Exchange.

Please remember to rate it on the Exchange if you like it. Thanks. :-)

The bird's eye view of Beehive Apartment

This is the bird's eye view of the place. Observe the shape. It's called Beehive not because it's very crowded, but it's composed of many hexagons. The original plan doesn't look like this, but like a gradually spiral up tower. Somehow this lot only allows me to have four floors, so I made it this way instead of a skyscraper. It's very modern looking nontheless. A lot of lines were simplified at the finalizing stage.

The little park

This is a closer view of the little park in front of the building. No, there is no hidden park chair in this building, unlike my other creations (except 1001 San Fernando). But there sure are plenty of them here! A chair for everyone, I say!

The backyard and the Olympic-size pool

That's George McCarthy, a clerk from the local grocery, swimming in this Olympic-size swimming pool in the backyard. Beside the hugeous pool, take a close look at the lines the backside of the building is made of. I think it's prettier than the front.

The front door & the playground

This is the night view of the front door, which is actually concealed from the front view of the house. There is a playground at this side of the house. Again, that's George McCarthy on the swing. (Doesn't he have some work to do?)

1st floor's floor plan

This is the overview of the first floor. The lobby area and the cafeteria is to the right, and a tenant's one-bedroom apartment is to the left. Notice the armoire color has been changed since the last update, so your download may not look exactly like it.

The first floor living room

This is a closer look of the living room of that apartment on the first floor. It's a luxury apartment I guess. My sim self (the one in green 1-up mushroom T-shirt) was visiting the house. Hey, I made it, so I am entitled to enjoy it, right?

The second floor living room

Look, this is the second floor's living room. Looks really comfy to me, though slightly Spartan (hey my alma mater's mascot is Spartan!).

The cafeteria incident

Meet the tenants of Beehive Apartment (and their maid...). That's Christy Stratton in workout cloth, and Laura Treble in pajama. Christy just burped, and that made the maid laugh. How rude! Laura recently gained some weight, and you can see why in this picture. Too much dessert!
