Hi, :-) Here is Barne's Mansion. My first major house. Now I think of it, I just feel this is truly one of my timeless masterpiece (IMNSHO), because of its elegant simple exterior design as well as its great interior. DOWNLOAD IT on The Sims 2 Exchange. Please remember to rate it on the Exchange if you like it. Thanks. :-) <!-- Begin Tour --> This is the bird's eye view of Barne's Mansion. See how the fishing bridge extends to the middle of the pond. The bridge to the front door is ducked under the skybridge.
This is a better view of the front door, so you can see how 3D this house is. I love the foundation work. This is the lovely backyard. Another view of the lovely backyard. Each of the platform/gazebo is laid out in a way that the entire garden isn't just on a flat surface. Yes, that's a sunk-in hot tub that comes with the game (I love it, just wish it comes with more colors). :-) The first floor's floor plan. The green thingy in the middle is a christmas tree. I know it's not practical to plant a big tree like that in the middle of the house for many reasons, but what the heck, it's just a game. The second floor of Barne's Mansion. You can see how the wall lines are geniusly laid out by me. :-D Just look at the windows, the tree in the middle of the octagonal walls (and there are flood lights to light up the tree from under during the night), and the stair case. They are well-orchestrated to form an architectural harmony. Beautiful? I thought so. Sorry about the gridlines. It's in the build mode when the picture was taken. Yes, the attic is totally liveable, providing an air conditioning has been installed.... It really looks like a doll house from this point of view.... I think it looks lovely. I made some very minor modification to it since the last upload to The Sims 2 Exchange..., so it's not the same as the one there. But they are just cosmetic changes. <!-- END TOUR --> |
